Sarah Lynch | Editor in Chief

Sarah Lynch put her lifelong passion for design to use in New York at Metropolitan Home where she worked as both assistant and associate articles editor. After leaving Met Home, she worked as a freelance writer in Newport, Rhode Island before relocating to San Francisco for a position as the managing editor on Pottery Barn's Design Library series. Sarah has authored seven books, including Complete Bathroom Design, Modern Color and 77 Habits for Highly Creative Interior Designers. In 2004, Sarah came on as Executive Editor of the newly acquired California Home + Design magazine. She has also appeared on HGTV as a regular design authority on the home makeover show, Double Take.

Erin Feher | Associate Editor

Associate Editor, CH+D A native a Cleveland, Ohio, Erin covers the arts, architecture and design throughout California and is the author of the forthcoming book Houses of San Francisco. She has written for 7x7, SF Weekly and and Downtown San Francisco and was the editor in chief of Eth6, a non-profit journal covering social and humanitarian issues in the Bay Area. She lives in the Tenderloin with her husband and their many bicycles.

Jennifer Pollock | Online Managing Editor

Jennifer Pollock is the Online Managing Editor of both California Home + Design and its sister site 7x7.com. She was previously an online editor at Conde Nast's SELF magazine, NBC Universal and Fast Company Magazine in New York. When not glued to the internet, Jennifer can be found getting muddy on hikes in Marin County, meandering San Francisco's Mission District or wishing her apartment allowed dogs.

Lydia Lee | Contributing Editor

Lydia Lee writes about architecture and design, with a particular interest in sustainability. In addition to contributing to CH+D, she is also the San Francisco editor for the The Architect's NewspaperLee got her start in the early '90s as a technology reporter, and once got to interview Claudia Schiffer about her custom pink Palm. She's also served on the editorial staff at Salon.comThe Industry Standard and NewMedia, and has written for Dwell, Eco-Structure and Natural Home. At home, her favorite possessions include a Milo Baughman recliner that she rescued from the sidewalk, and a growing collection of carnivorous plants.

Matthew Knudsen | Online Designer

Born in Illinois, raised in the southlands of California, Matthew first started fiddling about with computers and design with computer lab sessions of "Oregon Trail." Matt graduated from the Art Institute of California - San Francisco, has worked at various ad agencies and still can't get enough of the latest technologies, art and design trends. He spends his free time surfing, singing and playing bass in a band, and exploring California and The World.

Monica Couture | Web Producer, Account Manager

Monica Couture recognized her passion for design at the early age of 11 when she recalls persuading her mother to let her “remodel” the family living room. After attending The Art Institute for Interior Design, Monica has worked as a designer for residential, model home and commercial firms. In 2009, she transitioned into a sales and marketing role at an East Bay firm and found a passion there as well. Monica joined California Home + Design in 2010 and has finally found a "dream job" where she can combine both her passions: design, sales and marketing. In her free time, Monica enjoys strolling on the beach, hiking and an occasional round of Wii bowling!

Riley Manlapaz | Marketing Director

Riley Manlapaz was raised in Chevy Chase, Maryland and attended New York University, graduating with a degree in psychology. He somehow fell into the world of New York media, with stints at spot-TV rep firms, the Weather Channel cable network, and New York Press newspaper. September 2001 proved to be a time of change for quite a few people, and Riley found himself moving to San Francisco, where he became the Promotions Marketing Manager at the San Francisco Bay Guardian alt-newsweekly for over 7 years. He was the runner up at the 2nd Annual Funniest Celebrity in the Bay Area contest. He is thrilled to be working at California Home+Design.

Kelly Stucker | Senior Account Manager

Kelly Stucker, a Midwesterner by heart, brings both agency and publishing experience to McEvoy Media. She worked at several top ad agencies before co-founding trips magazine in 1997. She spends her free time entertaining her boys and remodeling their home.

Joseph Armeen | Senior Account Manager

A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Joseph made his way to San Francisco after spending many years in Sun Valley, ID. Joseph has been with the California Home + Design team since 2006. Prior to him joining California Home + Design, he spend nearly two years with Condé Nast Publications where he worked on various titles including Architectural Digest. Joseph enjoys cycling, cooking, bull fights, collecting civil war weaponry and Giants baseball when he’s not working or traveling back Idaho with his wife and daughter.

Glenn Newman | Executive Publisher

Glenn Newman has been working in magazine publishing for the last 25 years. A graduate of Syracuse University's Newhouse school of Communications, Glenn moved out to California in 1984 from the East Coast and started a family and began working in the magazine industry. He has helped to launch a number of publications since that time, including California Home and Design Magazine. He has been Executive Publisher of CH+D for the past 5 years. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his children and loves to escape to the golf course.

Todd Sotkiewicz | President

Delighting in the energy of boisterous business environments, Todd Sotkiewicz fits right in as the President of McEvoy Media. During his seven-year stint as the President/General Manager of Lonely Planet, Todd managed all operations with domestic and international sales in the United States, Canada and Latin America and worked to re-start and grow the business following 9/11. After diversifying and doubling the company’s revenue base, Todd was a key leader in selling the business to the BBC in 2008. Earlier in his career, Todd served as the Vice President-Sales at Ebates and the Senior Vice President-Operations and Administration at Big Words. Working as the General Manager/Senior Vice President of Wired in the ‘90s, Todd worked closely with the magazine’s founders, built financial and operational infrastructure and managed the customer acquisition team. A fitness enthusiast who regularly runs, bikes or swims at 5:30 AM, Todd is also a doting dad with an iPhone full of snapshots showcasing his son and daughter.

Benjamin Hardiman | Design Director

After studying at Parsons School of Design, Design Director and former New Yorker Benjamin Hardiman served as an art director to a variety of publications, including Celebrity Style, Teen Celebrity and SHAPE’s Fit Hollywood, before coming to SF to work for 7x7. His web-design clients have included MTV Networks and Ingredients.com. He has also done illustrations for Psychology Today.

Nicholas Brawley | Designer

Before coming to 7x7 and California Home + Design in early May of 2007, Designer Nicholas Brawley had worked at Seattle Weekly and Bitch Magazine. He enjoys coffee, vacuuming, dogs and putting off writing his bio. He does not enjoy hangovers, Yoplait yogurt commercials or waiting in lines of any sort. Born and raised in Seattle, the two things Nicholas misses are hot summers and sidewalks sans garbage.

Timothy Wudarski | Production Director

Timothy Wudarski started his publishing career early, serving as Editor and Publisher of the critically acclaimed Monthly Comet in the third grade in Detroit. He went on to help the Detroit News and Free Press along their way to a pure digital workflow and serve as production manager at HOUR Detroit, working on several independent magazine ventures along the way. Tim moved to San Francisco to work for Hartle Media in 2003, bringing to 7x7 another beloved mascot, a guinea pig named Jazz. He now also serves as Production/IT Director for Spin magazine.

Dana Baker | Production Designer

After spending six years living it up in the Pacific Northwest, Production Designer Dana Baker returned to her theoretically sunny California homeland. She has worked for Dog Nose News in Portland and the SF Bay Guardian. She lives in the Mission with her domestic partner (her cow-print cat Chi-Chi), where she spends most of her spare time redecorating with found objects and rejected paint colors from the corner store. She loves all things feline, healthy living and pondering the impact of social services and cacti.

Don Lewis | Digital Image Specialist

After wasting his youth on wine, women and song, Don Lewis began his career in various art departments in the Emerald City (Seattle, not Oz). Don further honed his skills freelancing at ad agencies here in San Francisco. Now at Hartle Media, Don uses the magic of digital imagery to make people look even more beautiful and food even more delicious. Don is also the Production Department’s resident movie and music know-it-all.
